Abcde Santos (pronounced Ab-Suh-Dee), patiently waited for 30 minutes to see Santa this holiday season. She wasn’t going to ask for any presents, she simply wanted to know what Santa wanted for Christmas. Instead she was turned away because Santa was not a fan of her service dog Pup-Cake a pit bull. Her parents agreed to bring the service

“The dog is not a breed when it is a service animal,” Miller told ABC. “A service animal is a highly trained companion to an individual and the breed is secondary. The Americans with Disabilities Act gives an individual with a disability the right to have their companion and service animal with them to do the job that they’re trained to do.”

Abcde’s family offered to take Pup-Cake outside so she could visit with Santa. Santa still refused and said he was allergic to Pup-Cake. The Shops at Mission Viejo has taken the appropriate steps and replaced that Santa with a new one and is now offering Abcde and Pup-Cake a Special Santa Experience!
